Beautiful Designs from the beloved book, “The Little Prince” but has some issues - printed on both sides of non-perforated paper By iiiireader [[VIDEOID:353e248a9cf818272741b8a8a2dfef2d]]Attached to this review will be a silent flip-through of the entire coloring book so you can make an informed decision as to whether or not it will work for you.This is a wonderful coloring book for fans of “The Little Prince”. The artwork is derived from the original artwork in the book but has been put together in a way to make it more fun to color. Additionally, there are also excerpts on each page from the English translation of the story. It gives you a feel for what the book is about but it is not a re-telling of the whole story. The line work on the designs is very delicate. Some designs are open and easy to color while others have many intricate and small details. I went back and re-acquainted myself with the with the original story (though the English translation!) What I didn't realize as a child was how adult the many themes of this book were. What I remember from reading it as a child was thinking both how wonderful and how sad it would be to be the little prince.The designs are printed on both sides of non-perforated paper. Most of the designs spread across two pages. Most of the pages in my book did not line up well, so the two-page spreads were off. Most designs merge into the binding and and part of the design appear lost in it. The binding is sewn although the cover and the very edge of the bound book seem to be glued together. I think it is a matter of cutting threads to remove pages – though it appears that if you cut threads, the entire book will come apart as it is sewn from front to back with multiple threads. I could get the book to lay fairly flat by “breaking” the spine with a hard crease. That exposed the parts of the design that were missing at the bound edge but it will make it easier to color into the inside portions.All markers and gel pens either bleed through or leave a noticeable color shadow on the reverse side of the page. My coloring pencils (soft core and hard) worked well on the paper. For me, the book will have to be for coloring pencils only. Taking the book apart is problematic as I'll never get the images to line up and it appears that small amounts of the design are missing from where the two-page spread designs come together.While I love the illustrations, the publishing issues (two-pages spreads, missing design work, mis-aligned pages, etc.) as well as the inability to use anything other than coloring pencils cause me to detract a star from my rating. If I were reviewing only the artwork, this book would be fantastic; however, it is a book I intend to color in and the other issues present problems that may well keep others from contemplating buying this coloring book.

By susan morrison-vega The Little Prince Coloring Book was a perfect companion piece to the The Little Prince book. We gave both items, along with a basic Prismacolor set of coloring pencils, to our nine year old grandson, who loved the combined gift! The coloring book illustrations are well-suited to the motor skills of our grandson, and allowed our grandson to personalized the story and in a way that he would not otherwise have experienced. We are very pleased that Amazon offered the coloring book, and noted its availability, at the same time we purchased the traditional book.

I am a huge Little Prince fan so that fueled the "must have it" before seeing it. But I will likely replace it with a different coloring book.

I absolutely love the story line (based on a true story) and I love that the author has given all of his proceeds to the Umbrella Foundation. The illustrations are gorgeous and I love the unique lettering used throughout the book. All around, a new favorite in the children's book department.

My kids love science and I try to read to them during the sporting events instead of them playing video games. The books in this series have wonderful pictures along with little facts that go along with them. The words are easy for readers that have been reading for a couple of years but if your child is too young for that this book is great to read to them! The book is written in plan terms that kids can understand. It’s a great way to introduce science facts to kids. Each book in this series introduced one particular aspect of science and portrays it in a way that makes kids want to learn more. I plan on recommending this series for the pre-K teacher at my sons’ school who loves to introduce the kids to science.This book was interesting for me as an adult to read to my kids. Most of the places that were featured in this book I had never heard of. The pictures were so beautiful and majestic. It made it easy to picture yourself at the water fall in Brazil or the Volcano in Korea. What a cool book that not only taught my kids something but taught me as well. The kids really enjoyed the pictures and we took the time to point out different things that we saw in them. It was time well spent with my kids.I liked the fact that this book is available in digital form. The vocabulary is kind of big but it has really great explanations for the words. It might actually be geared more toward the Kindergarten audience. Which actually worked out great for me!The pictures are really great. Some are very simple and others are quite detailed. My son enjoyed looking at them and asking questions and pointing out little things in each one. We are very big fans of ebooks. Just know that this book wouldn't be very good on the paperwhite (black and white version) because this book is in color and it just wouldn't look that great. We have used it on the ipad and the computer and it looks great. I love that I can load a bunch of these types of books up onto my ipad for trips and he has the ability to flip through tons of books without the huge bag of books! Having a big variety of books on hand at all times, especially education books like this are always a plus. I highly recommend you get a wide variety of the books to keep you children entertained! I am glad that I got a chance to read this book to my kids.I received this free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

By Tiara S I am a home school teacher of a five year old and use this book and several others from Baby Professor as part of our curriculum. This book is a short read that offers plenty of opportunity to expand on vocabulary. I assisted my five year old in reading the book, then took the words that were not yet in his vocabulary, gave him the definition, and used those words in his spelling lessons. He also enjoys attempting to read the books to his younger sisters and brother, showing them the photos, and telling them what he learned. I would recommend this book and all others from Baby Professor to any parent who plays an active role in their child's learning. I received this Kindle read at no cost too which is always a plus for a home school teacher!

About the Author Since elementary school, STEPHEN TEMPLIN felt a need to write, dreaming of becoming a novelist, and now he is a New York Times and international bestselling author, with the movie rights to one of his books purchased by Vin Diesel. By Vadermedic As a former Naval Air crewman and Rescue Swimmer, I thoroughly enjoyed the personal accounts regarding Stephen Templin's training to become a Navy SEAL. His writing is to the point and gritty, helping the reader imagine, if possible, the rigors of BUDS training. I recommend this book for anyone who is interested in Special Warfare as it will provide a realistic image of the mental fortitude and physical strength required to complete the training. I also suggest this to anyone like me, middle age, working hard to stay physically fit while balancing family and work, to help stay motivated and free of any pity party material.

Great read about BUDS and how to overcome any obstacle By Gregory Lynn I found it refreshing to read a first-hand account of what BUDS training was like for a young man. The book is organized in an interesting fashion with some very brief chapters, but I felt the structure matched the context of the story well. The chapters organize really as lessons. I had previously watched videos of the Navy SEALs in BUDS and found new information in this narrative along with reinforcement of other points. This is not a book about the military, this is about one individual's journey through what is the hardest screening mechanism on the planet. I think it's a must read for anyone who wants to know more about mental attitude, perception, teamwork and introspection. Well done.

When you hear the words, you picture *cue music* big, strong, tough men, faces painted with black grease, bodies carrying survival and assorted weapons of defense, always on a mission at anytime, anywhere, any place. Whatever the assignment, it will be completed by the extraordinary ones. Our soldiers of the night. *end music*This book is an easy and interesting read. You may feel scared, laugh a lot and bugs and wet sand...there's a lot. Mean and nice people playing their parts to help keep the soldiers from hurting themselves. BUD/S Training.....wow!All of us know that all of these men go through years of extreme training to earn this right. They are the best of the best, brothers for life, no matter what. We are so busy putting them on a pedestal that they deserve, lest we forget that each member is also a person, just like you and I. We do not consider each of their personal struggles and sacrifices to get that designation. We don't think about them crying or suffering from loss, from individual pain. *enter Rambo*Stephen Templin gives us a truly personal view of what and how a soldier becomes a Navy Seal. To be frank, I never thought about the process as much as the result. There are some god awful times, sad times and times you will bust a gut. In a way, it reminds me of being in school, which I guess it is. After reading this book, I have even more respect for Navy Seals for the fight they face on a personal level, for their pain, for their bruises, for their extreme sacrifices, their worn out bodies, their nausea, their vomitting, the days they have to stay awake, the tests they take, their discipline, their frustration and their tears. What is amazing is that people who never met before and those you have, form and bond in a comraderie and support from each other to get through every day better than the one before. The strength is takes mentally, physically, emotionally and every other -ally.I really enjoyed Stephen Templin pulling us into his story so we can see exactly what it takes and what it means to want something so bad, to be better than the rest, to want to give up yet to keep going, to struggle, to daily keep your fingers and head away from ringing the bell which says I've had enough, to be tired and hungry and grateful for a little sleep in wet sand and an astronauts pouch of food. There is also a poignant life lesson to us all. Sometimes, we don't really know what we want or are seeking in life. Expectations can make and break you. If you really want something, then son go for it balls to the wall. Never give up. Most importantly, many take their days for granted having no clue what others go through in order for you to have this safe feeling, this life. Before you pass judgment, speculate or talk about our military and special forces, you better damn well know what they do for you and each one of us. Trust me. Not every problem, battle or war is covered by CNN. You know why? Because of our protectors who believe in and love this country and all of us. Are you willing to give up your life and tear yourself apart for strangers to live a safe and happy life? Some of you have and do.Thank you Stephen for another great book. I will keep this to remind me that at the basic level, we are all human. Never forget that. To become a Navy Seal is an honor and a very, in-depth process. Only the skilled few are ever meant to get through. And a few only get through.If you are not heart and soul serious about serving your country, please stay home. If you know you can do this heart, body and soul, Stephen guides you through from beginning to end. Good luck to every foot touching that sacred and revered training ground. Stay strong because you are in for one hell of a ride. To be the best of the best, you have to earn it. By the time you get from the front to the end of this book, you will know for sure if this is your calling. If I were younger and in tip top shape, I would have run out and signed up for sure. This book pumped me up, but then, wore me out!Personally, from this readers heart, I thank you everyday for the things we never hear about because you do what needs to be done, period. I love my country and the men and women who protect it everyday with their lives. My son and his best friend signed up and will leave next year.
