She's a Native American, and her best friend, Jane, is deaf, so they don't exactly fit in at their Idaho school. But when Eva is stolen from math class and finds herself in a place called "Elsewhere," she really doesn't fit in. Now trapped in this weird place, she must rely on the help of a friendly and cute cowboy named Logan Colley. What does this place have to do with her parents? Will Eva escape? Will she ever see Jane again? Meanwhile, Eva's best friend Jane and an odd-ball group of high schoolers attempt to rescue her, but end up needing to be rescued themselves. I love how the themes of friendship, environmentalism, and anthropology meld together in a refreshing and entertaining way. The illustrations are an added bonus.The tale
