My favorite part is the ending but it's all good and the photos go nicely with the stories. A kind and gentle book to help children understand kindness and gentleness. Grandmothers are like that.

By Mary Ann Marino This is a heart felt story of what happens when we have compassion for animals. Luke and his family have given Bessie back the life she deserves....and she seems so happy for that! There are many lessons to be learned in this book and the story line is simple enough for young children to understand. The photographs of a simple farm life are wonderful.
